Auralite 23, also known as Canadian Amethyst or the aurora crystal, is a rare quartz crystal that's believed to have healing properties. It's a type of amethyst that contains at least 23 minerals and elements, including amethyst, citrine, smoky quartz, hematite, gold, silver, and copper. Auralite 23 is thought to have formed around 1.2 billion years ago when meteorites struck amethyst deposits in Ontario, Canada's boreal forest north of Lake Superior. It was discovered in 2007 and is estimated to be one of Earth's oldest minerals.
